So, Salt City Collect-a-con wasn’t too bad of a nightmare.

Aside from the fact the room Erica and I were in was FRIGID and off in the corner not near our CBA group members kinda sucked, but overall it was awesome.

I sold about 1/3 of my prints and made back my costs and extra.

Erica sold nothing all day, which sucked, until our neighbor’s daughters came in and asked for one of the Half Life Headcrabs she made.

Erica sold it to her for $15 and I threw in two free small prints.

They left.

And suddenly a whole slew of little boys came running in freaking out about us selling “GMOD Headcrabs.” (kids…)

Long story short, she cleaned shop and did like double the business I did.

The day had its shit times, like the asshole who came in and disrupted my round-a-bout sales (I was selling all 11 of my prints for $12 towards the end of the day) by telling the mother "all my shit was ALL copies" and she left with her kid.

NO FUCKING SHIT MY WORK FOR SALE WAS ALL COPIES, ASSWAD! ALL MY WORK WAS DIGITAL, HOW ELSE DID YOU EXPECT A DIGITAL ARTIST TO PRINT THEIR WORK AND HAVE ENOUGH FOR THE CONVENTION?!

And then there was the Finn cosplayer running around the main hall with this giant spear thing he won in a raffle. I *had* to heckle him and told him "Finn, you're gonna lose a few fingers or a whole arm playing with that!"

I failed to realize that his right hand was totally bandaged up at the time (from a legit non-convention-related injury), so when he came our dealer room I saw it and had to shout "See?! I told you you were gonna hurt yourself but nooooooo! Finn da Human knows everything!" His friend was dying over it, and Finn thought it was hilarious at least.
